Past Hudson Street sits Far West Village, or Sodom and Gomorrah – the final circle of Purgatory. Along this short expanse of street reside homosexuals, Sufis, artists, Turks and Frenchmen, five races known for less than stalwart mores and blasphemous beliefs, that fly in the face of the chaste Puritan values of our Founding Fathers.
Well…so these mainstream Puritan Founding Fathers would have it known anyways.
Towards West Bank, a Grand Palazzo in the Venetian style rises ostentatiously where an ancien stable – a reminder of Christ Our Lord’s humble birthplace and station in life – used to be. The pilgrim would do well to keep his eyes firmly on the path ahead, and not look up or back at this abominable edifice, for fear he would be turned into a pillar of salt, like Lot’s wife was in the Holy Book(s).

56 – Turks & Frogs and Orient Express, a delightful duo of wine bars cum French/Turkish restaurants.

57 – Palazzo Chupi, controversially built by the artist Julian Schnabel on the site of a former stable.
